LSU wide receiver coach Adam Henry is leaving the staff for a job with the San Francisco 49ers. Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette confirmed the news on Sunday.


Henry has been LSU's wide receivers coach since 2012.

Prior to arriving in Baton Rouge, Henry was the an offensive quality control assistant with the Oakland Raiders from 2007-2008 and then became the Raiders tight end coach from 2009–2011.

Henry, 42, joined the staff in 2012. He recently signed a new two-year contract with the Tigers that included a $55,000 raise. He was set to make $375,000 this season. He has a buyout in his contact of 15 percent of his remaining salary — about $110,000.

Henry will join new 49ers coach Jim Tomsula’s staff, which includes LSU special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey.
