Joe Burrow joined "The Big Podcast with Shaq" this week and spoke very highly of LSU quarterback Myles Brennan who will be replacing Burrow this upcoming season. Per SDS:
quote:

“He can really spin it,” Burrow said on the show. “He was getting some time the year before I got there, splitting time with Danny Elting. He’s going to be a really good player. He’s a smart dude, can spin it. I’m excited to see what he can do this year.”

Chase, McMath, and Palmer are gonna be an awesome set for Goldie Locks

Did #6 Marshall, the starter opposite of Chase, leave the team?

Before Burrow and Brady, we had stellar WR. There was little consistency catching the ball. Burrow is a generational talent and leader with the it factor. There is no denying that. But, Brennan was exposed to the Burrow aura. Yet, I see his confidence and gun of an arm. I don’t anticipate a big drop off in QB-WR timing and coordination. If we expect anything less, we are suggesting that we, perhaps, thought Orgeron’s coaching ability was a fluke through the Championship. We have lost some talent and the O-Line will have to rebuild. But, if Brennan has Burrow style O-line blocking, I think he kills it, this year and I think the WR will keep stepping up. The culture is forever, positively, changed, under Coach O.

We know his arm talent is insane. I just want him to stop throwing interceptions.

I don't care about guys spinning it, Les Miles thought we needed guys who could run it but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn or think. I want someone who can think. It's not that hard.

If it’s not the hard you should try it

It obviously takes both which is why Joe brought up BOTH

the only people's input I want on MB is our receivers. It is ALL about accuracy and preparation. If the ball is where is it supposed to be when it is supposed to be there and in VERY tight windows, we will rock. That was JB's forte, he was always able to fit balls in the smallest of windows and on time.

I’ve been waiting to see Brennan play since his recruitment. Of course, Burrow is king of lsu and rightfully so. Now that it’s Brennan’s turn, I look forward to seeing what he’s got. Other than Burrow, he could be the best LSU QB in a while.

If Bo’s defense balls out and ranks in the top five I’ll give us a fair shake at a repeat title Otherwise Brennan is going to need a season to get his feet under him ie ... a couple in L column. The 2021 season looks great though… I give us a 50-50 chance at a national championship.

Not super encouraging imo. Burrow has seen and knows what Myles has probably as much or more than anyone. Hes a pretty candid dude but just gave general player speak comments. We already know Myles can spin it

He said he's going to be a really good player who is smart, can spin it, and he is excited to see what he can do. What more did you want him to say?

Some people just look for reasons to worry and be unhappy.

Myles likely has a very very high ceiling. Can’t wait to see him play and dominate. He’s definitely earned it.
