NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady could be a top candidate for an NFL offensive coordinator position.

Rapport believes that Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale could land a head coaching job soon and would want Brady to be his offensive coordinator.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said in November that a plan is already in place to keep Brady in Baton Rouge.

Brady, who is in his first season with LSU, came to Baton Rouge after serving as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints from 2017-2018.

How do they have a connection? This is just smoke. Do not feed the gumps or the rest of the SEC, there is no fire. Joe will remain at LSU

We have been trying to lock him down for 2 months. How's that going?

And so it begins

If he leaves it is a good sign he is not confident that LSU offensive production is because of him and he wants to capitalize on LSU results. If he stays it a good sign that he thinks he can do it with another QB and offensive players.

Hey Scott, if Joe Brady leaves, please pack your bags and get the hell out as well. This never should have even gotten to this point. You should have signed him to a long term deal months ago.

Nope

The concepts and package are in. If he leaves, I don't think we miss a beat unless Slinger retires.

And Slinger sounded pretty pissed (understandably so) when basically asked if he was retiring

He'd be crazy not to get back to the NFL and keep learning and sharpening his coaching skills. He isn't learning anything here. He is teaching.

What?? Of course, he is learning. That's a ridiculous statement. When Auburn came out rushing 3 and dropping 9 into coverage, he hadn't seen that on film all season. It took him and Ensminger a while, but they adjusted and learned what worked against that look to move the ball. He's learning how to attack numerous different looks that teams are throwing at LSU to try and slow them down. Football is football

He’s learning new things every week. He’s seeing new defenses every time!

Martindale needs to stand on his own and stop trying to prop up this opportunity using another man's name..

Wouldn’t be so bad if he landed in Cincinnati

He's going to get mentioned for everything. Doesn't mean it's a good decision for him or even the other party.

Unless he stays at LSU to grow gradually all this hype is setting him up for failure. He should stays at LSU with a raise if he is smart. It is not even clear that LSU offense success is 100% because of him. Yes he may be able to capitalize on this years LSU success and get another job but it could be extremely risky too.

^^THIS^^. Nobody could fault him for jumping at a horde of cash thrown his way. But if he were patient he could continue to learn under Slinger (more nuances and intricacies) and name his salary and location later.

This shite is getting deep. JB and his inane abilities has made Brady way more popular and productive than he really is. Do it w Brennan or make the money grab now that is the question. He may get exposed next year. No way this much success follows him to another spot.....ever. No way.

Nonsense.

Brady hasn’t even been a solo college OC yet. What’s he like with a mortal QB and not the best all time NCAA QB? This is getting laughable.

He ain’t leaving for at least another year. He’s having to much fun destroying teams.

Why would he take a pay cut to consider leaving LSU is beyond me

Not saying it will not happen. But, that is a guy looking for a job (Martindale) and using Brady as bait to get one.
