Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher met with the media on Monday for his weekly press conference and was asked about the LSU job speculation that surrounds him heading into the final game of the regular season. Per The Tallahassee Democrat:
quote:

A Sunday report from the Advocate in Louisiana said Fisher is the "top candidate" for the head coaching position at LSU. Fisher has been tight-lipped regarding rumors about LSU's interest, but did answer a question about their impact on recruiting.

"I'm always up front," Fisher said. "Again, I'm not going to comment on those things, but I'm very up front to those guys. ... I'm very direct about what's going on. I'm extremely happy at Florida State."

Fisher was asked about if current players bring up the rumors. He didn't comment.
Fisher is reportedly the favorite to be the head coach at LSU next year.

No. 17 Florida State (8-3) will host No. 23 Florida (8-2) in Tallahassee this Saturday to close out the regular season. Following Saturday's game, the Seminoles will not play again until their Bowl game.

If this happens I'd say McElwain was at least right about one thing, "LSU got what they deserved"

How many times does he have to tell you reporters? He's not commenting until after Saturday's game. His team would quit on him. I would expect Alleva to name a coach on Sunday. Then ask him. He'll tell you. Geez!

Sounds like a politician. "I'm always up front. I love it here." But he doesn't address the question. "I don't believe there's any evidence to support that allegation".

You left out the context of the question that he answered: "Fisher has been tight-lipped regarding rumors about LSU's interest, but did answer a question about their impact on recruiting."

"I WILL NOT BE THE COACH AT ALABAMA!!!!"

let it go already! Geez! How long does the butthurt continue? Miles was a good coach; won you guys a National Championship. Orgeron could be great, but won't get a chance (reminds me of a cajun Fred Flintstone). Jimbo will be great if he decides to go to BR. Look to the future of your team and stop dwelling in the past (regarding Saban).

No one is dwelling in the past, moron. This isn't our first rodeo. It's a well known fact that Saban adamantly denied being the next coach at Alabama and we all see how that turned out. Saban was bluffing at the time and I believe Fisher is doing the same.
