Former LSU star and current New York Jets safety Jamal Adams participated the team's three-day rookie minicamp last week undoubtedly the best player on the field, according to Jets beat reporter Connor Hughes. Per NJ.com:
quote:

Jamal Adams is undoubtedly talented

It was near impossible to watch rookie minicamp and not notice safety Jamal Adams. He was the best player on the field — and it wasn't close — whenever he was on the field. He made a tremendous play on a pass to tight end Jordan Leggett on Friday.

Leggett broke towards the sideline. Once Adams saw Leggett commit, he fired and broke underneath the route to bat the pass away. It was very impressive.

Adams' speed particularly stood out. He's unbelievably fast for a safety. The Jets could have a good one on their hands.
The Jets selected Adams sixth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has not signed a contract yet.

Sad to think that LSU had the #4 & #6 overall picks on the team yet, did not make the college football playoffs.

Yes, because 2 good players is all it takes to 've dominant in college football. :eyes rolling in head: hint, there's 22 starters! Compare to JJ having the #1 player in bb, with only 5 starters , and not making the top 64 teams! Let that shite sink in

To say the jets got a steal at 6 is weird, but it's true. I understand the want for pass rushers, but safeties can be just as important. He should have been the first pick, just like Gruden was suggesting on the draft coverage.

It's a shame Brady has to tear him to threads the next couple of years.

I agree with LSUMONSTER and jdrn21 in regards to Fournette. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him play and think he's the best back at LSU since Charles Alexander! I also think Jamal Adams is one of the all time greats at safety for the Tigers! Both should be instant stars in the NFL! Let's support our former players Tiger fans!

Kinda wish he would have gone to the Bears and brought some of that Monsters of the Midway swag back.

Even though he was drafted 6, I have a feeling 5 teams are going to realize they made a mistake.

4 teams only, Jacksonville drafted the best player overall.

why all the LF7 hate? why downvote @lsumonster. you can respect his opinion and have yours too. its not an outlandish claim. you can also comment on why you think adams is better. lazy mf'ers just smash a downvote button. chicken should get rid of that shite.

Jdrn, it may be time for you to get off the internet for awhile. Why are you so offended by someone pressing a button to express their opinion? fricking commie.
