Sounds like Lincoln’s agent is getting him a raise.

Tucker, Aranda,Napier,Franklin, and about a dozen more will get raises. All their agents need to do is fly to Baton Rouge, be seen at Drago's eating oysters and magically they are a candidate and it rains money.

Why do we continue to escalate coaching salaries just for the hell of it? We were the first school to pay assistants head coach salaries and we just about doubled the highest salary to do it, couple years later that coach wasn't even here anymore. Now you're gonna damn near double Riley's salary when he has won nothing and pay him $3 million more than the greatest college coach ever? LSU continually plays itself.

Is it your money? Wgaf?

so that's $12m a year, Nick Saban has won 7 titles and is making an average of $10.6m a year, we're out of our fricking mind if we pay that much for a coach that hasn't even won a title yet

So who genius? Who is your mythical choice to lead to us to the promise land? Hmmm? I can sit here and eviscerate every single name you say, other than Saban. Every. Single. One.

I’ve been trying to tell y’all. It was never Lincoln Riley.

Lincoln Riley has been Woodward's first pick since before Ogeron's dismissal. Maybe he comes, maybe he doesn't but Woodward is going to make it difficult to say no.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the only CFP coach who is ready to take over the program and understand what 'The Brand' means to the University is Brian Kelly. I still say he is Woodward's real 1st choice. What he's done at ND he can easily duplicate and improve in Baton Rouge. He could be the next Saban with a program like LSU behind him.

Brain Kelly is a good coach but an average play caller and cannot make halftime adjustments. Not a good fit in the SEC. And I like the guy, but it won't work.

Why wouldn’t he come coach for the school that humiliated him in the CFP.
user avatar
GeauxGutsy56 months
So he’s potentially making Bill Belichick money without any titles under his belt, and zero playoff wins. Only in Louisiana does this make sense.
