Here's what LSU safety JaCoby Stevens had to say about Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after Saturday night's game. Per AL.com:
quote:

“Tua is a team player, man,” Steven said. “He had every reason to be selfish. He has every excuse in the world not to play this game and just prepare for the draft. But one thing Tua is going to do is Tua is going to come out and put on a show for his fans and he’s going to play his hardest for his team. That’s one thing … I respect the hell out of Tua for doing that.”

The players are so much classier than the fans. On both sides.

I like Stephens, he could have chosen Alabama. But he signed with LSU. Dude was a beast coming out of High School in Tn.

Tua was doing what was best for t’UA and the Tua. He seems like a good dude and I hope LSU is done facing him forever.

That's kind of how adrenaline works. Did seem like he was playing it up a bit, though.

I think that's fairly normal. During the game you ignore the pain. But as soon it's over, you don't need to ignore the pain anymore, so you immediately feel it. Same thing for anything else you try to suppress. As soon as the suppression isn't needed, those suppressed feelings, emotions, etc. come flooding back.

Adrenaline did not cause that fake arse limp. Stop with that crap. Tua had played in a full 4 quarter game and had sat for long times between posessions with no effect. Tua had just a couple ofminutes before thrown a bomb for TD and had no noticable limp on TV. Now because the game was over Tua is limping heavily. Total BS.

I approve of this message.

The sentiment seems to be real and Tua is deserving of the compliment. It could also be a backhand across the face of some former teammates who sat out bowl games.

Tigers4Lyfe: Yes, because adrenaline stops as soon as the clock hits zeros.

Tua is a great talent and a great individual. Much respect to him from this Bayou Bengal. He's one of the best in every respect!

Jacoby Steven's is a lot classier than the LSU fans claiming that Tua faked a limp at the end if the game.

He was told to limp by the coaches, so the selection committee can point to Tua "being hurt" to put them in the playoffs

“ He has every excuse in the world not to play this game and just prepare for the draft” —- This mindset though.
