Fox Sports College Football analyst Joel Klatt appeared on ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd‘ on Wednesday and predicted that Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin will leave Oxford for the LSU job. Per On3:
quote:

“LSU is intriguing,” Klatt said. “I just think LSU is a step above. I think you have to overachieve at Ole Miss and you’ve got to do things that the program has never done to reach your goals and win at the top end of college football. In a lot of respects, the best years of Ole Miss football (at least in recent vintage), is what we’re seeing right now. Does he want better than that and go to LSU? We know that LSU can go and put together rosters year in and year out.”

“They compete not only at the top end of the SEC, but also in the country and win a National Championship. I do think it comes down to resources and like I said, I think LSU has top two or three resources financially in college football. I know a couple of their boosters. They have deep, deep pockets and in this day and age, that’s what you have to have. I think Lane will (leave). If I had to bet, Lane Kiffin is your next coach at LSU.”
Klatt's prediction came before Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry inserted himself into the situation, which could change his opinion.

Either way, do you think Kiffin will take the LSU job? Sound off in the comment section.

IDGAF about Jeff Landry’s opinion on LSU football. The same way IDGAF what players think about politics. Stay in your fricking lane, Jeff!

I like him already more than I ever liked Kelly. If he can shoot 74% at ole miss, he will do even better at lsu

Just by looking at the amount of trolling he has done about LSU in the last 3 years it is obvious he wants the LSU job.

They are not going to what that clown and his agent is going to want. He is a great offensive mind, but the rest of his mind only some of the time.

Baloney. Our "talent" seems to be pretty much over-rated. Yeah, we put rosters together. So do all the other SEC teams.

With all this mess going on, we’ll be lucky to end up with Sumrall at this point.

No coach wants to coach in a highly politicized environment. Brian Kelly has caught a break. Hope Scott Woodward lands on his feet. Mulkey and Jay Johnson will find better opportunities in the coming years.

For those of us who remember the early 90s, the second half of 2020s will look very similar.
