Former LSU CB Jalen Collins Has Been Suspended Again

Former LSU and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins has been reportedly suspended for the first 10 games of the 2018 season, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Collins played at LSU from 2011-2014 and was selected by the Falcons in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Olive Branch, MS native was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 regular season and the first 10 games of the 2017 season for violating the NFL's policy on performing enhancing substances. He was released by the Falcons on November 21, 2017 and is currently a free agent.

From I have heard about the testing policy and how it is implemented. You have be pretty dumb or just flat out don’t care in order to get caught.

Most of these guys juice. Many are better at not getting caught when they're given their advanced notice for testing.

The test itself is designed to allow them to use steroids. Early offseason the "cutoff levels" for their test is 3x that of a normal male. As the offseason winds down and the season begins, the "cutoff levels" decline to eventually become the "normal" levels. So they are allowed to use to heal faster as soon as the season ends and they must "come off them" as the season starts.

Things like this always makes me wonder how many great athletes it college make it thru their careers using PEDs then can’t make it on the next level due to not being able to get away with how much tougher the testing process is on the professional level.
