ESPN College Football writers Sam Khan Jr. and Chris Low recently chimed in on Ed Orgeron's hot seat situation and explained what they think would help him keep his job.
quote:

Sam Khan Jr.: Don't allow LSU to lose to someone it isn't supposed to (like the home loss to Troy in 2017), and get back to double-digit wins. You know the last time LSU won 10 games? It was 2013. This is the longest stretch the Tigers have gone without reaching that mark since 2000.

Chris Low: The first three weeks of the season are critical for Orgeron with games against Miami and Auburn away from home. LSU needs to start well and establish some momentum. Otherwise, the pressure will only intensify, particularly with one of the toughest schedules in college football. Anything less than nine wins will get dicey for Orgeron. But the guy with the hottest seat on the Bayou might be LSU athletic director Joe Alleva.
What are your thoughts on Ed Orgeron possible hot seat situation?

Beat Bama, 10 wins, or nearly 10 if the team is highly competitive with no bad losses.

I guess that he has to win every game. Folks are always gonna demand more from sports teams, than they are willing to commit to, in their own personal lives.

Keep the players he recruits would go a long way. Been a rough summer for the face of the Tigers. Leading the nation in offseason arrests isn't a good way to keep your chair cool!

Dominate Miami by fearless consistent movement in all three facets of the game.

Beating Troy and ND would have put us at 11-2 but blame Canada I guess

10 is just the number. If CEO wins the games we should and doesn't make poor coaching decisions, then 10 wins should be achievable every year. I want to see dominance from CEO. I want him to prove to me that he deserves this job, but until then, he'll remain on the hotseat.
