In a recent ESPN article, College Football writers picked "Breakout players from the top 25 teams to watch in 2024."

Senior writer Mark Schlabach picked running back Kaleb Jackson, who will see an increased role as a sophomore in 2024.

12. LSU Tigers
Tigers running back Kaleb Jackson already had a viral moment early in his freshman season when he stiff-armed a would-be tackler to the ground and then bulldozed defensive back Isaac Smith on a run in a 41-14 victory at Mississippi State. Former LSU receiver Malik Nabers compared Jackson's powerful running style to former Tigers star Leonard Fournette. ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer compared his massive legs to Eagles star Saquon Barkley's. Jackson, who played high school football about three miles from Tiger Stadium, ran for 165 yards with four touchdowns as a freshman. With Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. leaving for the NFL, Jackson should have a much bigger role in 2024. -- Mark Schlabach
Jackson is primed for a breakout year in 2024. Who else do you think will make a big jump next season?

he can breakout, so long as we dont bench him just as he starts getting some momentum. the RB rotation just makes no sense sometimes.

And he's going to get the lion's share of the first team RB reps during spring practice with both Williams and Holly out.

Hopefully that happens in games too. Kelly and staff seem to want to share the load, which is fine, but I’d love to see an RB be the guy.
