LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda is no longer expected to be the next head coach at UNLV, according to Adam Rittenberg with ESPN.

Muliple sources previously reported that Aranda and UNLV were close to a deal.

Aranda is currently in his fourth season as LSU's defensive coordinator and signed a 4-year, 2.5 million dollar contract in 2017. His current deal makes him the highest-paid assistant coach in College Football.
