"Like many people when he took over I was questioning the hire but once it was done, I looked at it closely and said well this could be a great fit here at LSU. If he can get any kid to believe it’s going to be Louisiana kids. Not only that but I could see his passion for LSU was true and not a fake like some said it was. I backed him from the beginning and even after the first season I said if this guy can get the right pieces in place look out. Well he’s got the right pieces and look what he’s doing. It’s amazing to see it happening and I’m extremely happy for him. For all the flack he had gotten, this is only fitting. I’m happy for Coach O and LSU for believing in him when no one else would have. Now LSU is benefitting from his talents" Had the exact same feeling about his hire. As a former LSU student athlete you could immediately see the coach/player connection. Then you look at his humility and the coaching staffs that he had been on and what he has learned. He can create a dynasty here
