Elite five-star safety Sage Ryan announced Saturday that he has committed to LSU, picking the Tigers over Alabama.

Ryan, a 5-11, 195-pound prospect from Lafayette, LA (Lafayette Christian Academy), is rated the No. 1 safety in the country for the class of 2021.

The Tigers now have 20 verbal commitments for the class of 2021 with the addition of Ryan.

Great 2021 recruiting class with 5 WR/TE and 1 OL commit with offers to 2 more 4 star WR. If I were a Louisiana recruit, there would be no place I would rather be than LSU. The biggest questions I would have, before signing day would be, Who are we signing to play OL?, What is wrong with the DL, LB gap coverage?, What is happening with the DB’s communication?, Why are those challenges persistent? and What will be done to address all of those ongoing challenges, if it could not be corrected, during the 2020 season?

First of all, one hell of a great get. WELCOME HOME SAGE RYAN! Now a lot of people are calling for Bo Pelini's head for what is going on. But is it Bo's fault that our DE's and OLB's can't properly maintain outside leverage? I mean, when one crash inside the other suppose to play outside to push runner back inside not to also crash inside leaving no one outside to contain the corners. And I notice this constantly happening and it's ridiculous. Is it Bo's fault that our suppose to be real fast LB's are running in real deep wet mud and allowing every RB we face to out run them. And I thought losing S Kary Vincent Jr. was no big deal but from the looks of it boy was I wrong because our S's can't cover a twin bed. And if you're calling for Pelini's head you might as well call for OLC James Craig head because that OL was atrocious and the worst position on the field. I heard somewhere before WR Ja'Marr Chase oped out that LSU was 129th out of 132 teams in returning offensive production and that was before Chase split. But on defense the problem is not talent or even coaching it's the lack of experience our DE's and LB's have zero experience playing SEC football and it showed in every game so far. And it's so funny to me all the talk was QB controversy and that QB TJ Finley should start instead of QB Myles Brennan after one great game. And after the Auburn game you see why it's very rarely a good idea to start a freshman QB because of the inconsistant play. That's why when we lost to Miss St and Mizzu I said all I want is to be bowl eligible and that next year we will be back on top especially when players don't lose this year and gained an extra year of eligibility, maybe we don't lose the players we are expecting to lose. And I still love my TIGERS!!!!!

Reconsider?? Lmao What kind of fans are y'all?? You love LSU, well, if you did you wouldn't say such craziness. I mean do you expect LSU to be like this next season?? If they are than coach O is out of a job. Lol No, with the good QB talent that they have I expect them to challenge for another NC next season! This season is just one of those kind of seasons!

He's a great get for the LSU program, but if LSU doesn't get the D "FIXED" and start recruiting some 4-5 star O linemen... Welllll as my English teacher used to tell me, "that dog won't hunt".

Welcome aboard young Tiger! Don't listen to the negativity from these fair-weather fans...you can make a difference! LSU needs YOU more than we need THEM.

Yes, LSU has a port track record of secondary development. There’s only a top 10 and a future 1st rounder playing corners. Stfu

What an absolute disaster. Ed must demote Bo after the game. He is a disaster. It’s hasn’t gotten better at game 5 with a an extra week of practice.

Our Offense gave Auburn at least 3 touchdowns...TJ Finley isn’t ready.

Even a two star safety at this point would make me happy just to get Mo Hampton’s lazy arse off the field
