The Stephen Sullivan tight end experiment is back on...

Sullivan, a former four-star wide receiver from Donaldsonville, LA is now playing tight end for the Tigers and is up to 250-pounds, according to Ed Orgeron. Sulivan is listed at 6'7" on LSU's roster page.

The Tigers experimented with Sullivan playing tight end last season during practice in order to help with depth issues but Sullivan remained with the receivers as the season went on.

Orgeron, who spoke at the Rotary Clubs on Wednesday, also added that LSU's wide receiver position is the strongest group on the team.

Hope this dude shines his final season especially at Tight End. He is a mismatch nightmare that I feel has been underutilized so far in his career. Always remember that end around on 4th and goal vs Auburn when we were down and deperate for a score a few years ago. They dug deep in the playbook for that one and he had to break a tackle to score.

If he would have played DE, he would already be in the NFL!

He was an absolute beast a D'Ville. I agree. High school tapr really shows his potential at DE. LSU had huge need at wide receiver that recruiting cycle though

I also believe Trey Palmer is going to go beast mode in 2020. He was my 3rd favorite WR out of the 2019 WR class overall.

Finally. I was wondering if this would have ever happened since he's been here. This was a more natural fit for him IMO.

He is just trying to instill confidence and send a new message. It about perception, recruiting and a changing of the scheme. However, it's on target so, if the truth hurts, so be it.

This could be a really good thing for him come draft time next year.

Does this mean we’re actually going to throw passes to a TE? Is that legal?

I'm pretty sure it's at least a misdemeanor
