Narrator: it was not a close call

I had the privilege of being there for the scrimmage and it was very clear that Narcisse and Burrow had the best day. With that being said, the incomplete passes from Burrow were primarily due to being rushed out of the pocket and having to just get rid of it (thanks to Devin White) and a receiver not making the catch. I do very much believe Burrow looked very bit of what we are hoping far. Also, McMillan almost threw two picks and Brennan looked very nervous in the pocket, still needs to put on a lot more weight.

Ed never gives real QB stats. Get your popcorn and favorite beverage ready, because whomever it is, we're going to see a much different offense than what we're used to. Praying would likely be a good idea too. Geaux Tigers!

I've contemplated praying that by some freakish occurrence it's been discovered that Tommy Hodson has one year of eligibility remaining and the NCAA has decided to reestablish his amateur status for one season. Then, miraculously, Hodson shows up at LSU in the best physical condition of his life, looking like the same player that started at LSU four consecutive seasons. Oh, well, nothing wrong with a little dreaming.

So the QB tranfer who has only had a handful of practices had as good stats as a 3 QBs who have been in the program over a year. I would say that means Burrow will probably be the starter.

Defense must be stacked... 26-50 for 417. It comes out to 8 yards per pass attempt.
