Ed Orgeron On Stephen Sullivan: We Can Do The Same Things The Saints Did With Jimmy Graham

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron revealed earlier this week that 6'7" wide receiver Stephen Sullivan is up to 250-pounds and has transitioned to the tight end position.

On Thursday, Orgeron said what sold Sullivan on the position change was watching film of Jimmy Graham on the Saints with new passing game coordinator Joe Brady.

I’m actually pretty optimistic that we’ll see a much more diverse offense this year. inb4 We hear this every year the offense will never change I’ll believe it when I see it blah blah blah.

Look at the plays from last year. Way more diverse. We’re you even watching at all? Not the same Les Miles stuff... can’t totally change everything the 1st time around for the 2nd and 3rd year guys.

Why not just put him at X, Y, and Z? You could draw up back yard football plays, in the dirt, and have success with this dude. I don't understand how so much talent can be constantly underutilized by people paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to evaluate and determine ways to win.

I want to see him utilized in goal line situations... running a fade to the corner. A typical 5’ 9” CB can’t stop it!!!

5'9" CB is not typical in the SEC haha, but SS would still have a distinct advantage over 6' guys as well

Gonna be a lot of mouths to feed with the depth we have. I thought that catch he made against Auburn last year was really clutch. I believe it was 4th & 10 or something. So much potential here.
