During the Tuesday episode of ESPN's 'Get Up,' Desmond Howard and Marcus Spears were discussing LSU's matchup vs. Alabama in three weeks and who the better team is.

They also gave their Heisman favorite to host Mike Greenberg...

Mike Greenberg: "LSU, Alabama... who's the better team?"

Desmond Howard: "I got... 'Geaux Tigers!' Yes, sir LSU. I love the offense right now. Joe Burrow is playing at a very high level. Without Tua, you have to be concerned with that (Alabama) offense. Where are they going to get some productivity from? They have great receivers but he's the guy who makes everything go."

Greenberg: "If Tua comes back healthy and is at his best or close to it when they match up in three weeks, do you still like LSU?"

Howard: "I still like LSU because I think their offense is more prolific and I like their running game too."

Marcus Spears: "Let me be realistic and not a homer, if Tua is playing for Alabama, I'm still taking Alabama. Until LSU proves that they go there and win, I'm not saying that they are the best in the conference. If Tua is out and Burrow is playing elite...LSU is the best team. But if Tua comes back healthy I will probably take Alabama."

Greenberg: "If Tua doesn't play in that game or is significantly hobbled, will it diminish the win if LSU wins?"

Spears: "Hell no, you know how long we have been trying to beat Alabama? This is the first time that you see a vulnerable Alabama. There's not one unit, outside of those receivers, where you say 'they can dominate a game.'"

Greenberg: Who is your Heisman favorite right now?

Howard: "If I have to vote right now today, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow walks aways with the trophy. What this young man has done so far has been outstanding. It started with the Texas game, on the road, a hostile environment, under pressure, constantly under duress, but still throwing dimes. And the young man has not slowed down. Florida went up and down the field in Death Valley at night. But this man wasn't shook. He kept going back and back and throwing touchdowns. To me, he's been the biggest turnaround from last year to this season of any player we have seen in college football."

Spears: "The one thing you realize about this Heisman debate, Burrow has had the moments. People don't realize, LSU scored 42 points on 48 total plays vs Florida. Right now he's the leader in the clubhouse. And his moments are still coming."

At this point LSU would celebrate a forfeit victory in the series.

Mud, I'm sure you know more about this surgery and timetable. We all know Glen Logan had it and it put him out for a while, 5 weeks I believe, and I even read that when Tua had it on his other ankle last season he wasn't 100% for over a month. I mean realistically, how can someone who can't put weight on his leg for 10 days be expected to practice and put a gamelan in place for one of the best teams in the country? As a person not familiar with athletes I just can't understand how you have a serious surgery with screws, holes in bones and stitches to just get healthy in time for this game. Maybe I don't know the science? I know your son has to be so excited to play the upcoming games, he's about to make you and your family some serious money. I love watching him play and see how fluid he is, that play last week when he was beat was a thing of beauty. I was at the game and thought he was beat and he put it in flash mode and knocked the ball down, extremely impressive.

Marcus right!!! Until we beat Bama, I gotta take Bama. Sorry. I heard all of this for years.

I don't understand this reasoning. The past Alabama and LSU teams mean nothing to the two teams playing in a few weeks. Right now LSU has proven they are the better team. Not sure how this can be denied.
