LSU Invites Top 40 Donors To Governor's Mansion To Unveil First-Of-Its-Kind Revenue Plan

The Tiger Athletic Foundation recently sent a letter to some of LSU's top donors notifying them that they have been invited by Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry and President Dr. Wade Rousse to a private event at the Governor's Mansion.
The event, which is described as informational, will give a "first look at an alternative revenue generating opportunity for LSU athletics that is first of its kind nationally and could quite possibly change the future of college sports in America."
Here's some of the letter, that Ross Dellenger obtained:

Here's some of the letter, that Ross Dellenger obtained:
quote:
College athletics is at financial crossroads, and we're feeling it every day at LSU. As someone who has contributed generously to our athletic programs to keep them operational, you know how unsustainable the budget of the athletic department looks and how hard TAF has worked with our donors to assist.
Governor Jeff Landry supported the Presidency of Dr. Wade Rousse because he believes Wade is an innovator, especially as it relates to economics, financing, and revenue.
The Governor and the President are inviting you to a private event at the Governor's Mansion on MONDAY, August 3rd or WEDNESDAY, August 5th beginning at 6pm to get a first look at an alternative revenue generating opportunity for LSU athletics that is first of its kind nationally and could quite possibly change the future of college sports in America.
Let me be clear, this is not an ask for money. It's not a fundraiser. It's informational. This is a conversation about the future of LSU Athletics.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you're willing to attend one of these exclusive meetings at the mansion, and which date works best for you.
And remember, what unites us all? It's three letters, two colors, one state. WE ARE ALL LSU. Hope to see you soon.
