Josh Edwards of CBS Sports unveiled his updated 2020 NFL Mock Draft and has three Tigers selected in the First Round.

They include safety Grant Delpit going No. 7 to the Arizona Cardinals, outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson going No. 14 to the Atlanta Falcons, and cornerback Kristian Fulton going No. 20 to the Seattle Seahawks.
quote:

Grant Delpit - No. 7 to the Arizona Cardinals:
Delpit is a fantastic young player. The Cardinals have focused on their future. They must continue to take the best players available rather than trying to reach for needs. In addition to his athleticism, he provides tremendous leadership. Delpit is a plug-and-play guy in the secondary alongside Byron Murphy and Budda Baker.

K'Lavon Chaisson - No. 14 to the Atlanta Falcons:
Chaisson has the traits to be a successful pass rusher but he is more than solid is pass coverage as well. Concern arises when discussing his recent injury history. The hope is that he heals and his potential translates to production. If so, he could warrant early consideration in the same manner that Josh Allen did last year.

Kristian Fulton - No. 20 to the Seattle Seahawks:
The Seahawks reportedly have an interest in Jalen Ramsey, so here's a Kristian Fulton instead.
Missing from the first round mock draft is quarterback Joe Burrow who's NFL stock has skyrocketed four games into the season. If Burrow can keep the Tigers rolling and stay in the Heisman talk, expect to see his name show up in the future first-round mock drafts.

Here are the quarterbacks that Edwards put ahead of Burrow: Tua Tagovailoa (Pick No.3), Justin Herbert (No. 5), Jake Fromm (No. 11) and Jordan Love (No. 26).

Delpit needs to get off his arse if he wants to be a first rounder

wtf has Chaisson shown to even be considered a 1st round pick other than glowing practice reports? His performance on the field definitely doesn't support it...yet.

The guy is wrong so there is that. Joes accuracy and ability to look for his first second and third receivers to dump off to a RB in the flat is something not everyone can do. Point being Joe is smart a sees the game in SloMo it seems.

All three could drop to the 3rd round if they keep performing like we have seen so far.

This mock seems to be focused more on the needs and draft position of NFL teams based on the first few weeks of the season, than on evaluating college talent.

I hope all three of those guys go in the first round but I'm not super confident about it right now. I'm actually more confident that Joe Burrow will be selected in the first round but he certainly could be a second rounder.

I'll be shocked if Joe goes round 1..he just lacks the arm strength to go first round.. Second maybe.

Has the Saints picking a QB... from Utah St. LOL. This is why Mock Drafts are pointless

I mean, Drew played at Purdue. Carson Wentz played at North Dakota State. Plenty of other examples as well.

I don't see why any non stupid LSU LSU fan would get mad over this. Only the crazy Burrow worshippers predicted anything higher than 5th round before the season, now after just four games, everybody scout should have him in the first round??? Come on people, be at least a little reasonable. Even though I know he's going to shatter LSU record books to pieces, I don't see him in the first round at all. At best somebody will fall in love with him as a 2nd rounder, but personally I think he goes in the third if he keeps this up vs the top defenses.

Your ability to spot NFL traits needs some work, if you see him as a 3rd rounder and "at best" 2nd. He isn't just putting up numbers. Those offenses in the Big 12 and the Pac-12 throw the ball close to 60 times a game. Burrow isn't approaching that, and yet he's at or near the top in every statistical category. That's because he's making great throw; NFL throws, all over the field. He's making perfect back shoulder throws, that only the best QB's are known for beig able to execute consistently. Namely, Drew Brees. I've been saying he'd be an ideal fit for the Saints (if they get a chance to draft him) given his skill set ad the fact that he is running an offense modeled after the Saints'. And now, most people seem to be putting him in the first round. What people thought of him prior to this year is completely irrelevant. This is a new year, and he is a completely different QB.

Doesn't work like that. If it did, Wentz, Allen (Bills QB), and Jones (NYG QB), wouldn't have been selected in the first. Look at Drew Lock and the numbers he put up consistently every year, or Aaron Murray. Neither were projected, or went in the first round. Chad Kelly was dominating at Ole Miss, son of a 4x Super Bowl appearance QB, cannon arm, and could run, yet is was Mr. Irrelevant. Dude had problems, but so did first rounder Johnny Manziel (again, I don't know why he went in the first).
