Brian Kelly was on The Paul Finebaum Show Monday and was asked about the current LSU recruiting class, which ranks Top-5 nationally, and how they are holding it together through this current rough patch.

Kelly said they have been in constant contact with the recruits and are leaning on the relationship that they have built with them.

Kids aren’t looking for championships they’re looking for draft status. Only one team gets a trophy- but getting to the league is the goal

LSU being marginalized and circling the drain in the new SEC.

If im a recruit, I see potential to be a starter as a freshman at a historically elite program that is always in the National Championship conversation and that produces elite NFL talent even in their worst years. No reason to jump ship. Come make an impact early.

That's it. Several are day one starters and others major contributors as freshmen. They can get NIL anywhere. Early playing time, with position coaches who have proven to develop top flight NFL players.

To piggyback off of what you’re staying, the right ones will stick. The fickle ones who are only in it for the money will bounce

Agree! We gotta remember, as frustrating as all of this is, we’re a mediocre defense away from playing for another natty last year with the Heisman QB. I’ve been in Austin the last 15 years and watched them turn and burn coaches amidst a miserable, demanding fan base for 10 miserable years before landing Sark. Outside of Saban and Urban teams, there are no quick turnarounds.

I'd prefer that he let his coordinators do their thing and not meddle, honestly. I hate his offenses so much.

You do realize that SEC coaches are contractually obligated to do those type of things right !!!

We currently have the #1 QB. How many new QBs do you need? How will this help when the issue is two turnstiles on the frontline?

Because the issues is a scared QB and lack of mobility at that spot. The fact that you only talk about the OL is proof that you think the QB can do no better when QBs all over the country are doing better with worse problems on the line.
