LSU has seen significant improvement on the defensive side of the ball this season under a whole new defensive staff and the addition of new players.

According to coach Brian Kelly, the biggest improvement he has seen on defense is making stops on third down and "creating havoc.”

Kelly is also hopeful that the defense will continue to get better as the season goes on.

I'm sure the play will improve, but I don't know that the numbers will. The quality of opposing offenses is going up significantly beginning this weekend.
