Brian Kelly Comments On The QB Situation Moving Forward

Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after Monday's 63-7 victory over Purdue in the Citrus Bowl and was asked about the quarterback situation heading into next season and the competition between Jayden Daniels, Garrett Nussmeier, and Walker Howard.

Kelly said they expect to have all three quarterbacks on the roster next season but that Daniels is the No. 1 guy right now.

I still Nuss screwed himself when he refused to play in the bowl game against K State last year.

BK’s first impression of Nuss is a guy who’s dad will go to the media if Nuss isn’t playing, and then will sit out to preserve a meaningless redshirt when we gets a chance to play. Not the guy I would want leading my team.

Oh and also Daniels is much better.

How can Nuss really feel like he has a chance to compete when Jayden is QB1 from day one? Nuss will walk when spring passes and he's still the backup. Then he'll go somewhere like TCU and throw for 4000 yards and 35 TDs and we'll all talk about what could've been. Oh well.

It's BS. The competition is to keep a competent backup. Anybody looking at a kid turn the ball over 5 times in less than 2 games vs a 50 game starter turning the ball over 6 times in 13 games and thinking the first one is better for the team WINNING, is a retarded dumbass that should never be paid attention to on football matters.

So first Nuss was transferring after the SEC Championship. Then he was going to transfer after the early signing day. Next, his schedule was changed to transfer after the bowl game. Now he is scheduled to transfer after spring? Could it just be that maybe he isn't transferring???? Maybe Brian Kelly is building something that kids want to be a part of. Maybe just maybe Brian Kelly is nothing like Zero Or Less!!!

Well, we pretty much know what to expect. He'll look fantastic in three games and be mediocre to terrible in the other nine. That's about his ratio. If that's what BK wants to roll with, then so be it.
