Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris was on the Tim Fletcher Show on Friday morning at talked about his decision to transfer and what his next steps are.

Harris said that he has already been contacted by schools, including ones in the SEC, but choose not to say who they were.

He is currently taking 18 hours of school this semester, along with a summer internship in order to graduate early.

Brandon Harris rode I the Shreveport Parade yesterday. He threw me a moon pie. Even though the throw was short, I still ate the moon pie.

At least he didn't overthrow to the kid behind you and you would have missed out altogether.

Reading defenses, knowing the offensive plays, and not making stupid decisions on the field...and Harris would have been a winner...alas, that's the nature of football...He had opportunities and that's more than a lot of really good kids get...

"including ones in the SEC, but choose not to say who they were." Yea, sure Brandon. Wish him nothing but the best, but I just don't see any P5 schools going after him. I know he'll be better in a spread system, but that won't help his accuracy and decision making.

Go find the best academic program for your Master's Degree and play QB for that school. If you have the breakout year you hope to have, then outstanding for you. This is the time, however, to take stock and use your God-given brain to weigh your best options for the next 40 plus years of employment. Master's degrees at Out of State Universities and Private Universities aren't cheap. What a nice gift to be able to get a year of that without the burden of student loans.

Vanderbilt would be a great option. Their offense and QB play has been terrible. The defense has been well above average in the SEC.

Sounds like he's getting good advice from his Dad also. Good to hear. A smaller school could be his ticket to the pros. Good kid. I'd like to see him get a shot.

BH is a class act! I pray someone scoops up this kid and uses his abilities. Wasn't he the #2 dual threat QB right behind Watson? Look what Clemson did with Watson and look how LSU failed on yet another QB. I sure hope Canada can turn things around so this doesn't happen to another kid. Best of luck BH you deserve it

It isn't LSU's fault that Harris couldn't play at the SEC level. He can NOT read defenses and simply is not an accurate passer. LSU did not fail Harris. Harris failed LSU.

Stripes- I believe it is LSU fault. We have had some top QB's play for LSU coming out of highschool over the last 10 years and they all were duds?? Nope, LSU failed a lot of these kids at that position. Jefferson, Lee, Shephard, Harris, Jennings These kids all had talent but were never coached to make them great.

Seems like a classy kid. He doesn't have what it takes to be a good D1 QB though

Can't say he didn't have his chances to takeover the starting QB job at LSU.....good luck to the kid tho.

Proud of you Brandon! That said, I think my friend Big Jim Gatlin might want to differ a bit on the whole taking Parkway to new heights thing... lol
