CBS Sports College Football analysts Brady Quinn & Danny Kanell previewed Saturday's matchup between LSU and Alabama during this week's "PICKS + BEST BETS" segment.

The Crimson Tide are currently 3.5-point favorites in the game and both Quinn and Kanell expect it to be a very tight game. Per SDS:
quote:

“Alabama can get after opposing quarterbacks. I think they’re going to limit a lot of the big plays we’ve been seen from this LSU offense so far. The 1 problem is Alabama’s biggest weakness is they can’t protect Jalen Milroe. They’ve given up the most sacks of any team in the SEC this year,” Quinn said. But LSU can’t really rush the passer either. It’s a bit concerning.”

Quinn is going with LSU in a what he thinks will be a low-scoring affair.

“I think this is going to be a tight game. A lower scoring game,” Quinn said. “I’m going to take the points though and LSU in this case. I also like the under.”

“Alabama’s defense has been great but outside of Quinn Ewers who beat them, I don’t know if they’ve seen a quarterback since him that has been able to exploit some of their weaknesses,” Kanell said. “…I think Jayden Daniels is able to win it if he’s able to knock them off in Tuscaloosa.”

Kanell also expects a close game and is picking LSU.

“This game comes down to a field goal late,” Kanell said. “…I’m going to go ahead and take LSU.”

Hate to tell you all but Saban will have a defense tuned. If you want easy money, take Bama giving points. Too much has to go right for Tigers to win in Tuscaloosa. Sorry but the $$$ is on bamers

If you’re so confident show your betting slip. This game is nowhere near an easy pick. We’re taking best offenses vs one of the best defense. Then the other side is a decent offense vs a porous defense. Did House have the time to create a plan to limit Alabama scoring every drive and can we get a turnover?

I’m so excited.

Kannell picking against Alabama is about as surprising as seeing the sun rise in the morning

Their low scoring predictions means it will be totally the opposite.

I didn't watch the clip, just read the excerpts but there Kanell said close, not low-scoring.

Wtf does this mean? “I think Jayden Daniels is able to win it if he’s able to knock them off in Tuscaloosa”

He’s able to win it if he’s able to win it?
