Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema was on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday and shared his plan for how that wanted to slow down and limit LSU running back Leonard Fournette, which was to get him running horizontally.

Leonard Fournette rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 31-14 loss to Arkansas. He also caught three passes for 36 yards.

"Yep, everyone could see that was the plan. But this fat frick didn't think of it, he copied Bama."

So?

Football ain't rocket science. If you notice something that works for another team, try it yourself too. That's actually called good coaching.

The plan to stop backs like LF has been the same for decades, from high school to the NFL

This, try to make them go sideways.

LOL. That did work for a while, but we started finding success and I truly believe Fournette would have put the game on his back at that moment, but we got down by too much and they just started throwing on every down.

Just a shame we aren't creative enough to get him in plays designed to go wider.

Bama does it with Henry, who is weak going lateral as well

Leonard Fournette was having a great night. And would have ended up with respectable numbers but we could no longer afford to run the ball late in the game with the size deficit we had with the time remaining.

know what fixes that? a play-action, middle screen.

Basically, cause confusion and force the LSU offense into an uncomfortable and unfamiliar situation...called "passing the football".

Shooting the gaps, same as the gumps...OL didn't adjust, or just got their Butts beat to the gap...
