Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left Saturday's game vs. Tennessee after suffering a high ankle sprain and could miss time to recover, according to Nick Saban.

Following the game, Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis said that Tagovailoa told him he would be back for the LSU game on November 9 after the Crimson Tide's bye week.

Zero in on Bar Eagles first. There will be plenty of time after going 8-0 to talk about the gumps. Would be sweet to take both colleges from Bama out in the next few weeks. Auburn first

The surgery is less effective than 3 months of rest, then rehab (but better than duct tape)

Seldom have I seen or heard of someone having surgery on an ankle sprain

It’s called a tightrope procedure. They basically put bands around the tendons to help strengthen his ankle. Rehab time is usually 4-6 weeks.

It’s not just a band around something. They drill through the bone and place an anchor. This is real surgery. Don’t see how you could safely be back running in 2 weeks...but Saban doesn’t care about his players long term health.

Thank goodness they play high school teams the next couple of weeks or the NCAA would have to cancel the season

Has the UT player been prosecuted yet? Or has his family received death threats? This is Bama we are talking about here.

He was walking better than Justin Jefferson did when he hurt his ankle at Vanderbilt. Tua will not be out long if at all.
