Five-star defensive end Jahkeem Stewart, the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2026, is transferring from St. Augustine High School in New Orleans to Edna Karr across the river.

Stewart is not expected to be eligible to play for Edna Karr this fall following his transfer.

According to most recruiting websites, Stewart is the No. 1 player in the state, the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country, and the No. 1 overall player, making him a top priority for the LSU coaching staff.

Stewart was reportedly considering reclassifying into the 2025 class, but his plans at this moment are unknown.

Bad news. IMG is a brokerage firm, where bidding takes place. A number one rated high school kids leaves high school at the beginning of the season. He is getting bad advice. The air around him is out of control, before he starts college. I would not want him in my program.

Wow this actually hurts USC and looks better for LSU. If he had gone to IMG he would have been all USC.

Yes, transferring from an LA school to another LA school absolutely signals a USC commit.

Some of y'all definitely ate paint chips as a kid.

I think this benefits us greatly, considering that all signs pointed to him going to IMG.

If he went out of state, I think it would be an uphill battle trying to get him to LSU. IMG sends players all over the country, and he'd be accustomed to an OOS campus lifestyle already.

It would be nice if he could get a waver to play this year IF he reclassifies to 2025, given that St. Augustine wouldn't allow it.

If he went to IMG, it would be similar to a Shea Patterson or Dylan Moses situation... they're not really a Louisiana prospect anymore and it makes an OOS commitment a lot easier IMO.

Yes, Eric Henderson went to Karr.
