Four-Star quarterback Feleipe Franks from Crawfordville, FL recently spoke with Zach Abolverdi with the AJC.com to talk about his commitment to Florida and how solid he is with the Gators.

Franks, who recently flipped his commitment from LSU to Florida, will receive an in-home visit from offensive coordinator Cam Cameron to see if he can get Franks back to Baton Rouge.

The chances of that happening seem less likely, according Franks:
quote:

"I am pretty sold on Florida,” Franks said. "I didn’t really like de-commiting in the first place but I am going to do what’s best for me and my family. To get that out of the way, it really felt good."
Franks also added that he thinks Florida is the best place for him "to get developed at my position."

Here is his full video interview:

He seems extremely loyal and very level headed when it comes to honoring commitments.

QB development is a problem here. He alluded to it.

Yeah, those Florida quarterbacks have really been burning things up since Spurrier left.

can just move on this kid doesn't wanna be here sure there is a pro style qb somwhere that would love to be a Tiger. Hell there is kid here in mobile that has never lost a game named Tyler Johnson of Spanish fort h.s. That would kill for an Lsu offer. We offered his brother a lb. for the class of 2017 they both winners an great kids!!

Wouldn't want him to come back anyway. Hanging your committed team out to dry this late in the recruiting season is a shitty thing to do. I hope he enjoys second string for the next 4 years.

So obvious that a high-schooler recognizes that we suck at developing the position. Cant blame the kid at all.

Don't blame him; QBs at LSU for the most part over the last 11 years have not prospered at LSU.

I normally roll my eyes at statements like this, but for once I genuinely agree.

I don't know how LSU gets top WR or QB and it's not going to change

laugh out loud. JR was the #1 overall pick in the draft. Flynn is probably the most successful backup in the league, and Mettenberger is widely considered a exciting prospect.
