The LSU coaching staff re-offered former wide receiver commit Stephen Guidry from Morganza, LA on Thursday.

Guidry originally committed to LSU in May but backed off his verbal pledge in October.

The 6-4, 190-pound receiver graduated from Pointe Coupee Central High School in 2014 and enrolled at Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. He has played at Hinds for the past two seasons.

LSU currently only has one wide receiver committed for the class of 2017 in four-star prospect Mannie Netherly.

For more info on Guidry, visit his profile page on our 2017 Recruiting Tracker.

Could someone explain how or why he needed to be reoffered?? Wasnt he committed this year? Was his offer pulled?

He says re offer in his tweet and it probably means the coaches called him and wanted him back. They probably told him when he backed out that they would not have a place to hold for him.

Seems like a logical offer. He knows all about LSU, and now knows who our OC is and what type of OFF we plan to employ. Come back to Death Valley young man, and compete for PT on day 1.

He really needs to consider this opportunity as this has Star written all over it.
