He'll be pretty old by the time the 20178 rolls around. I won't be alive to see that team play.

He'll be back. Let him get his $ from Ole Miss first.

Let him go around and use a bunch of time/resources from the competition and then come back to LSU.

There should be som kind of penalty for Decommiting. These kids don't understand what it means to commit to something they just think they can do whatever they are feeling at the moment and it's getting ridiculous.

This is a ridiculously nonsensical announcement. Either thank me or not. Don't tell me you'd "like to thank me", and don't tell me you'd "like to announce" your decision "for the time being". It seems like you've announced it, so don't tell me that you'd like to. And you either commit or you don't. You don't de-commit "for the time being".

I'll admit it - when I was 17 there is no way I could handle this process - way too immature - hope this kid picks a school he really loves

Agree with Mouche. It's a long way to February 2018(NSD). Just making the rounds. Then he'll be scratching and clawing to get into Canada's offense! Save him a spot O. He'll be a Tiger!

No problem, explore your options while you have time...hope that scholarship is still available when you come back, though.

Relax people! He committed so other schools will give him official visits. He'll take these visits, get wined and dined and in the end he'll go to LSU like he already planned to. This happens every year. Kids commit with thier hearts and then they realize no one is calling for visits because they are committed. So they decommits and the phone starts ringing for officials. So they use up thier official visits and then commit to the school they originally committed to. Rarely do they decide to go elsewhere. Just relax and let him experience the full recruitment process. He's worked hard to get to this point and he has earned it. This opportunity only happens once. Let him enjoy it.

"the class of 20178" Since he's got 18,160 years before he has to decide, it's probably best he explores all options!

Hmmm. Other offers are from dumpster fire Ole miss and ULL and he decommits from LSU because he thinks the LSU commitment is why he isnt getting more offers. It actually works the opposite. LSu commit is what brings the attention.

If a kid is "committed," WTF would he be concerned with other offers?

Well..... In a sense they are rockstars so to speak. 20-25 years ago you didn't have all this 'look at me' type of behavior. Shut down the media coverage then no more rockstar status! Simple as that
