Four-star outside linebacker commit Raesjon Davis announced Monday that he has reopened his recruitment after not signing with the Tigers last week.

Davis, a 6-1, 210-pound prospect from Santa Ana, CA (Mater Dei HS) originally committed to LSU back on Jan. 1, 2020. Many are now expecting the Top-50 prospect to stay close to home and sign with Southern Cal.

Who would go to USC to play CFB, the place is a dumpster-fire with Clay Helton as their coach. They had to come from behind against AZ, AZ St. and UCLA and lost to Oregon (the replacement team for Division Champ Washington). Let he and Korey Foreman go to USC and never be heard from again!

I am just glad we didn’t waste a scholarship on him. Now we can use it for some other recruit that actually want to be here.

Navonteque Strong is a major upgrade from this guy so he just did us a favor by de-committing. Plus We need the spot for OL's. Plus 6'1, 210..really? this guy hasnt grown since he committed to lsu 2-3 yrs ago...

Oh well. The kids who do this kind of stuff are the same ones who will transfer the first time something doesn't go their way. If these new transfer rules are approved, as expected, it's going to be more important than ever to have guys who truly care about LSU.

Couldn’t agree more. If you are only committed to a “winning team” rather than a program, maybe you should re-think about your stage of your commitment cuz wins come and go, but program stays forever.
