Former Virginia Tech cornerback Mansoor Delane announced his commitment to LSU on Monday.

Delane, a 6-1 junior from Silver Spring, Md., has played in 33 games with 29 starts for the Hokies. He has recorded 146 tackles (82 solo), six interceptions, and 16 pass breakups in his career.

I grew up with Mansoor's dad in the SF Bay area....This kid is a thumper! I'm so glad he chose us.....HIs younger brother Faheem was very close to choosing LSU this past signing period, but ultimately chose OSU as the #! ranked FS in the nation. This is a major win for Kelly and LSU. Very excited to see him in purple and gold!
