Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
LSU added another key piece to its future backfield on Saturday with the commitment of 2027 running back Brennen Lacy.
The Frisco, Texas, standout announced his pledge following an official visit to Baton Rouge, giving the Tigers an explosive offensive weapon for their growing recruiting class.
Lacy chose LSU over several major programs, including Notre Dame, Miami, Texas Tech, TCU, and Oklahoma State.
At 6-foot-1 and approximately 187 pounds, Lacy has emerged as one of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2027 cycle. The versatile running back has drawn attention for his combination of speed, athleticism, and pass-catching ability, making him a natural fit in LSU's offensive system.
Lacy also boasts impressive track speed, having posted a sub-11-second 100-meter dash time during his high school career.
