The LSU coaching staff received some great news on Thursday morning when JUCO outside linebacker/defensive end Travez Moore from Bastrop, La announced that he has committed to LSU.

Moore, a 6-6, 250-pound prospect currently plays at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Wesson, MS. Per The Advocate:

Outside linebacker/defensive end Travez Moore, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound former Bastrop standout, gave a verbal pledge to coach Ed Orgeron, 247Sports.com reported. Moore, a Copiah-Lincoln Community College standout, will play next season for Co-Lin before enrolling at LSU in January.

Moore left Bastrop as the 34th-ranked weak-side defensive end in the 2016 class. He's expected to play a hybrid position with the Tigers at the F-linebacker or the Buck-linebacker, defensive coordinator Dave Aranda's two versatile outside linebacker spots.

That's right LSU$$$. Minter was a stud. Playing pro ball in Arizona. How bout Debo with the Failcons and Kwon Alexander with the Bucs? I think Aranda and O keep this linebacker train a rollin'!

Out of all the LBs to take over when Arden Key becomes the first overall pick in the draft DE/LB Travez Moore has the size of key he's even 10 lbs heavier. Now does he has the speed and athleticism that Arden Key is blessed with, well that remains to be seen but I really wish he works out because he can be another weapon in DC Dave Aranda arsenal.

First welcome Mr Moore, second wow this guy and Chassion together will be damn intimidating, now let's get some more big time DEs and DTs to go with all these LB. We do that we'll be good for years to come.

6'6" 250lbs. Nice size! Linebackers are becoming more of a strength with this team. But if you think about it, we've been solid there for awhile. From Beckwith and Riley to Kelvin Shepherd to Darry Beckwith and Ally Highsmith just to name a few. Yet we always seem to worry about that position. I think O has made it a priority to get them early and often, and that's good news!
