LSU landed commitment No. 17 for the class of 2018 on Wednesday night when talented three-star offensive tackle Cameron Wire announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers.

Wire, who received his offer from LSU this past May is the top-rated offensive lineman in Louisiana for the class of 2018.

The 6-6, 270-pound prospect from Gonzales, LA (East Ascension HS) hold offers from more than 30 different college football programs, including eight from the SEC.

Wire is the No. 26 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 15 overall player from the state of Louisiana for 2018, according to 247Sports.

One transfers and one commits. Just part of the process of recruiting. The coaches never stop recruiting and they always have another prospect lined up. The staff is doing a good job of locking down the state talent. Keep up the good work guys!
