LSU picked up a bigtime future commitment from four-star defensive tackle Shone Washington on Wednesday night.

Washington, a 6-5, 300-pound prospect from New Orleans (Warren Easton HS) is rated the No. 3 defensive tackle for the class of 2022, according to ESPN.

The Tigers landed Washington's commitment over Alabama and Florida and he becomes LSU's sixth verbal commit for the class of 2022.

I remember the pre-BLM cowering days when I used to get excited about LSU football. Thank the Lord for 2019.

Explain to me how anyone could be rated the third best DT in the United States and be a 4star. You would like to think the top 5 at every position should be 5 stars.

ESPN only ranks about ~10 players as 5 stars each year.

Dudes going to be a badass-et. He’s going to be a sophomore, WOW ??. He looks like a really hard working kid too because I bet it would be quite easy to be 6’5 330. I said it before, reminds me a little of Brockers/Logan type. Brockers size with Logan’s build and probably about as quick as Brockers was. Now all we need is Mr. Maason Smith to commit to the Tigers for these two to be playing together. Along with finishing with more talent in 21/22 classes for a quality depth rotation. Man what a change from 2016/2017. We were struggling to get even decent DL/OL here. Now we’re getting the elite guys. I love it. Now if Covid-19 would just quickly move the frick out the way, we can get this show back on a roll.
