Three-star cornerback Bernard Causey from New Orleans announced his verbal pledge to LSU Tuesday, just one day after de-committing from Ole Miss.

The 6-0, 170-pound prospect from John F. Kennedy High School originally committed to Rebels over the summer, but a recent offer from the Tigers on Sept. 27 changed things.

Causey is the second cornerback to join LSU's 2024 recruiting class this week, along with PJ Woodland.

The Tigers now have 25 commitments for the class of 2024.

I honestly put more credence in attitude over star gazing these days. I will take a hard working three star over a primadonna five star any day of the week. Justin Jefferson comes to mind.

I like this guy. He is physical and as good of a tackler as you can see. I bet he will be nickle or free safety by the time all is said and done.

Yes. Don't really care until I see signing day. Commitments, especially coming from folks who literally just broke their previous commitment don't mean much.

If he had committed to Bama he’d be a 4 star. Just works that way.
