Four-Star RB TreVonte' Citizen Posts Picture From His LSU Visit With Coach Frank Wilson
by TD Staff ReporterJanuary 23, 2022
Four-star running back TreVonte' Citizen was in Baton Rouge this weekend for his official visit to LSU and posted this picture on social media of him with running back coach Frank Wilson.
Citizen, who is rated the No. 2 running back in the country according to Rivals, has LSU as one of his top schools along with Auburn, Nebraska, USC, Florida, Miami, Michigan State, and Grambling.
The 6-0, 217-pound prospect from Lake Charles College Prep was committed to LSU throughout this past season but reopened up his recruitment in late November just days before Brian Kelly was hired.

Hope the young man chooses LSU...time for another great back from Louisiana to play here and shine!

Ratings still mean something, it's a player's LOI or commitment that doesn't mean shite anymore.

I watched Tony Citizen at McNeese back in '87/'88. Tony had that effortless stride like Eric Dickerson. Don't know anything about this young man except for his bloodline which is rich. Something tells me he's gonna be a star.

I don't get the ratings systems ? If he is considered the #2 running back in the country, why is he only 4 stars ? Yet I see another position like lineman , where someone is rated 5 or six in the country and are 5 stars.

The rating system is supposed to be a roughly objective metric (obviously that's not possible, but that's the goal) so that a 4* RB one year is roughly equivalent to a 4* RB another year.
If the #2 RB is only a 4* then that means that this year's RB class isn't super strong. If the #6 O-Linemen is still ranked as a 5* then that means the O-Linemen class is pretty deep this year.

If we dont get the Citizen/Cain backfield, it will be a sorely missed opportunity.
