Elite five-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher from Amite, LA announced his top seven schools on Monday afternoon and included LSU in the group.

Sopsher's top schools are Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Orgeron, Texas, and Texas A&M.


The 6-4, 330-pound prospect from Amite High School is the consensus No. 1 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 6 overall player for the class of 2019, according to 247 Sports.

If we ever start locking down our in state guys, we really will be coming. This guy has all the potential but DT is one of the hardest positions to adjust from HS to college ( right up there with QB). Good luck Purple and Gold
