Here's an inside look at LSU Basketball's new intense "Road Game" summer workouts, led by Tigers Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Greg Goldin.
quote:

"When they come in Friday morning, they have no idea where I'm going to take them," Goldin said. "They have no idea what we're going to do until the directions are given and then they have to go and compete."

"They understand that they might get dirty, they might get grassy. We might be running the ramp in the stadium. It might not look like a 10-foot hoop and an orange round ball, but they know that it correlates to competitiveness on the court."

Love the enthusiasm and energy from Coach Wade that our basketball program desperately needed. Ready for a new start.

Smart move. I remember my old HS basketball coach ran us over and over again for the first two weeks practice before we ever touched a ball. He said we wouldn't lose a game because of lack of conditioning down the stretch. And he was right! Stamina and endurance will win games late. That and make your free throws. And, of course, stellar defense. Sounds like Wade is thinking along those lines.

We will be playing a full court Defense!! Much different style than our team is use to. We better be conditioned.
