Elite five-star point guard Bryce Griggs announced his top seven options after high school and included LSU in the list.

Griggs, a 6-2, 180-pound prospect from Missouri City, Texas (Hightower HS) is rated the No. 3 point guard in the country and the No. 19 overall player in the class of 2022, according to 247 Sports.

His options are Houston, Texas, Memphis, Kansas, Baylor, LSU, and the Overtime Elite professional league. Here's what he had to say about the Tigers, per 247 Sports:
quote:

LSU: “It's a great school with a great history and I love coach Will Wade. He lets his dudes roll. They play hard and he lets them play their game rolling the ball and you do your thing if you have talent. I told my mom I love that school and what the coach stands for.”

It’s a startup endeavor. A 9 month course preparing players for the NBA draft. He can pretend to go to college for a year or two, or he can earn $200K while solely concentrating on developing his game.

"OTE will offer a direct-instruction model led by individual instructors who teach both 1:1 and in small group sessions featuring a 4:1 student-teacher ratio. OTE will supplement a traditional course offering with a focus on life skills –including financial literacy, media training, and social justice advocacy."..... those last 3 words just tells me this is another league I can ignore.

Overtime Elite making a strong arse offer. These guys and Ignite may well be the end of us seeing top 10 talent playing college ball. None and Done. If so, then maybe the good will be a re-structuring to a two year minimum.
