New LSU coach Matt McMahon landed a commitment from four-star power forward Jalen Reed on Thursday.

Reed was previously committed to Florida but reopened his recruitment earlier this month.

The 6-10, 220-pound prospect from Castaic, Calif. (Southern California Academy) is rated the No. 13 power forward in the country for the class of 2022, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

We don’t even have a starting 5. This is a solid pickup but this team is still currently dead last in the SEC
