30 Years Ago, Warren Morris Hits Legendary Walk-Off Homer vs. Miami To Win 1996 CWS

One of the greatest moments in college sports, not just baseball.

Brought my oldest home from his June 6th birth. He was asleep on floor at my in laws house. Our screaming woke him up. A moment that sticks with me

Never forget. Was at Blind River bar and threw my hand up and his fan light cover. Shattered and cut my hand up but no stitches. Worth it!!

It will live forever.

Warren lives around the corner from me. He’s a big time “power walker “. I like to pretend he’s just in a permanent home run trot when he scoots by like one of the Bushwackers. He’s a super nice guy, down to earth dude.

The "Good Old Days", when being a college athlete meant something and the joy was overwhelming!

Lost in the ending is what a great game that was overall. The end was just the icing on the cake.

I still remember the elation of that historic homer. The two point conversion Daniel’s to Taylor to beat the gumps in 2022 very similar, difference, I was at TS for that. Both imbedded in my memory.
