As a sophomore, Skenes pitched to the tune of a 2.73 ERA with 96 strikeouts while starting 51 games at catcher, batting .314 with 13 home runs and 38 RBI. His addition gives LSU arguably four of the best transfers in all of college baseball, when adding pitchers Thatcher Hurd and Christian Little, as well as slugger Tommy White to the mix.
