The commitments keep rolling for LSU head coach Jay Johnson this week, with right-hander Samir Foster as the latest to give his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Wednesday night.

Foster, from Tampa, Florida, is considered as one of the top pitching prospects in the 2027 class. He is described by OverSlotBaseball as "Big, physical, with a workhorse frame. Up to 96. Diabolical changeup."

quote:

First, I want to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for putting me in the place I am today and allowing me the opportunities I've had up until this point. Second, I want to thank my mom for sacrificing so much to help make me into the man I am today. Also my stepdad for the endless hours in the cages and on the mound, and teaching me special life lessons, and my little sister and brother for all the hours they've spent at the fields cheering me on and supporting me. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I have committed to LSU!! Thank you to the coaching staff for giving me this opportunity! GEAUX TIGERS!

The Tigers also landed commitments from 2027 outfielder Jacob Seamon and elite 2026 pitching prospect Lucas Nawrocki this week.

CJJ is building a dynasty. Back to the Skip days of LSU and then everyone else. Permanent resident of Omaha in the works.

Love it but don’t think he will be on campus.

People on here said William Schmidt would never see campus either.

I know you take as many of these types as will commit. But when does it become a detrimental gain? Because you will back off a guy who has a chance to make to campus ? In JJ we trust I guess

It shows the country that these types of players want to player here which attracts others as well. And sometimes you land one or two and then it’s game on.

Is it Foster or Mohammed? Is one a middle name?
