If we lose to UNO tonite we will drop to #10-12 nationally. Didn't we lose to them last year also - so typical of Manieri who is big friends with ex- tiger Coach Dean of UNO

These polls may seem meaningless now. But stay in the top 5 all year and we host a regional and super regional. After that, history shows a top 8 national seed in Omaha doesn't mean much. But getting there, the polls are of importance.

Wow, what a joke. Florida St. is ranked ahead of us in 2 pools, (D1 & Baseball America). They not only lost a game but they got shut out 3-0 by Virginia Commonwealth. They got out hit 12-1. As for South Carolina, they are ahead of us in D1 polls after being shutout 1-0 by USC Greensboro. It just don't add up.

While you are not wrong, you cant use football polls as an indication of Baseball poll trends. Baseball polls notoriously let things flesh out before moving people around in the rankings. At the end of the day a high ranking is nice but just get a top 8 seed and get ready for Omaha.
