“Breathe Easy” angler Chad Postle reeled in an 838-pound marlin at the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic...

At the first weigh-in of the 2016 ECBMC, “Breathe Easy” angler Chad Postle brought in a 123-inch blue marlin. Around 700 spectators gathered for the official weigh-in, and after 12 people helped pull the fish onto the dock, the official weight was announced at 835.8 pounds.

"Rise Up" pictured won with the 838# fish pictured. Chad on "Breath Easy" was leading up to that point with a 835# fish. Winner won over 400k in cash and prizes for the guy that mentioned catch and release. Good times were had by all

Dude at the Marlin tournament in Orange Beach a month or so ago caught a 776lb (IIRC) but showed up to the weigh-in one minute forty-five seconds late. Would have won the tournament by nearly 100lbs. Shame on him.

Have they ever heard of tag and release? We did that to a 720 pound blue marlin. No need to kill it except of course if a trophy is more important to you.
