He plays canter. Benches a little over 400. Runs a 5.4 40. He cuts down to 320 for the season. 3.83 GPA.

There should be a length class in powerlifting. An athletes' class should be based on how far they have to move the weight to complete the event. This guy only had to squat the weight about 6inches because he's so short and fat. Same with bench press, his arms are so short and his chest is so thick, he doesn't have to move the weight far. Show me see a 6'6 dude squat 1005 lbs, then I would be impressed.

"Show me see a 6'6 dude squat 1005 lbs, then I would be impressed." You're never gonna be impressed then. Most powerlifters aren't 6'6". They're like 6' - 6'3" tops.

bullshite, watch the bar compared to the rack beam. It travels well over a foot. The "requirement" is that he gets to the squat position before being told "up".

And to the 6'6" comments....dumb! Show me a world class high jumper that's under 6'.....does that mean high jump records aren't legit? It's sports, different types for different sports.

Agreed, he's gonna have 2x knee surgeries by 50 - that's an absolute bet. Also 340 in high school and powerlifting that much is gonna lead to some seriously f'd up health issues.
