Auburn coach Bruce Pearl is reportedly one of the top candidates for the Louisville job ever since the school parted ways with Chris Mack this week.

Pearl, who has the Tigers (18-1) ranked No. 1 for the first time in school history, was on the “KeyShawn, JWill and Max” show Thursday and was asked about Louisville’s interest in him. Per SDS:
quote:

“When you win, folks are worried you’re going to leave,” Pearl said. “When you’re losing, they’re packing your bags. … Auburn is a fabulous place, Jay, and it’s been the best place that I’ve ever been where I can develop players. It’s a small college town and kids come here to grind. They’re around other student-athletes who are trying to grind. And we’re about an hour and a half from Atlanta.”

If Louisville offers him the gym, he takes it. The bigger question is will they? Right now i dont think Louisville touches Pearl. Wade either. Look for Oates or Musselman from the SEC to be the two guys who get a look. Cronin from UCLA as well

Well, they did say he wanted it badly, I guess that's true. The issue is UL won't want him.
